Help > Automatic Export

The automatic export function allows you to export results after every trawl without taking any action. This is a good idea if you wish to keep results for future use. It is also highly reccommended when using timers, so that results are saved for each timed trawl.

The third page of the wizard allows you to set how DeepTrawl should handle the exported files from multiple trawls when these have the same name / directory. The options are as follows...

  • Automatically add time and date to all file names when this option is selected, the names of all exported files will be appended with the date and time the export occured. This prevents files from being overwritten.
  • Overwrite existing files if you do not wish to keep your old exported files, this option will overwrite old files with new ones. No warning will be given, this will happen automatically. If using this option please make sure you don't overwrite useful files by exporting to a directory/filename which already exists.

Once you click Save settings Results will be automatically exported from now on.
