DeepTrawl is capable of trawling any web site at a pre-determinted time or at regular intervals using timers. This combined with e-mail alerts and the automatic-export feature means you can make sure the quality of your web site is up to scratch even when you're away from your computer!

The Timer Manager allows to add, edit and delete timers. To get started, click the Add button. This will display the dialog shown below. The settings on the dialog below are explained step by step below it...

The Timer type field allows you to select how often this trawl should be run, either once, daily, weekly or monthly. |

The Title field allows you to enter a title for this timer. This field is mandatory, so that you can easily identify the timer later. |

The URL field works exactly the same as the URL field in the main interface. You should enter the URL of the first page of your website. |

|
The trawl level allows you to set how extensive this trawl should be. The Trawl Sensitivity page has more information on how trawl levels work. |

The scope setting defines how much of your web site should be trawled when this timer executes. The Scope Settings page provides more information on choosing a scope setting. |

|
The time setting allows you to set the time of day when the timed trawl should execute. |

|
The Day of week field allows you to set on which day of the week the trawl should occur. This setting is only applicable for Weekly timers. |

The date allows you to set on which date the trawl should occur. |
Once you have finished setting up the timer, press OK and you will be returned to the Timer Manager...

The Timer Manager now contains your timer, and the timed trawl will execute when it's scheduled to start.
Using the Timer Manager it is possible to add more timers, edit or delete previously created timers using the buttons below the timer list. For deleting / editing operations you should click the timer you are interested in so that the purple border appears around it.
Note: When setting multiple timers remember it is necessary to leave an adequate amount of time between timers for each trawl to finish.
